With immediate effect we will no longer be sending notes home to record minor bumps and falls. During the course of the school year we have many trips and falls and in most cases the children do not get any significant injury. I have found that very often, we have been sending home notes that were not necessary.
We will continue to keep records in school but we will not duplicate notes to send home.
If we feel that a trip or fall has resulted in an injury we will of course contact parents as soon as possible.
If a child bumps their head we will always phone home to alert parents.
